So you all know by now that we spent a few days in Colorado this past week.
It looked something like this.
But what you didn't know (unless you're some kind of crazy psychic, or unless you watch the weather channel) is that I would be coming home to Kansas City to find a winter storm a brewin'. Thunder and lightening included. And about 12 inches of snow. All pictures that you are about to see were taken through the windows, while inside our warm, cozy home. I was in sweatpants and slipper boots and was safe and sound. Please do not worry. I did not take one step out into that crazy snow. Oh but I did make Sherman go out there for a good 10 minutes while I took pictures of him through the window of our sunroom. And the "best dog mom" award goes to .......

I eventually let Sherman inside.
Oh and for those who are considering turning me in to PETA for animal cruelty ... yes, I am being sarcastic. Sherm adores the snow and begs to go outside every 10 minutes. We let him out, he runs circles around the yard (which he quickly found to be extremely difficult in 12+ inches of snow), he comes back in, we dry him off. And 10 minutes later he is crying at the door, pleading to do it all over again.
We have gone through 29 towels.
Happy snowy Friday!
yay for snow, its heading our way! sherman looks positively amused by you!
ReplyDeletehahaha. Sherm's face in that picture is killing me!!! Love your writing style. :) So funny!
ReplyDeleteSherman looks so cold in that picture! That's so sad :( But admittedly a bit hilarious, since apparently he loves it. LOL. I've never seen snow, but now I'm thinking it might be more of a cold menace than beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWe have that same coffee mug...I really like Target. :)
ReplyDeleteSnow! It's probably the most I've ever seen. Through pictures anyway. My hubby sent me some pictures of him in his truck doing doughnuts in the snow! Some men...
ReplyDeleteWould people throw things at me if I admitted I kinda miss snow?
ReplyDeleteMy puppy loves the snow too :)
ReplyDeleteWe had one good doozy of a storm in December,
and he was loving it!
Running around like a mad thing,
and trying to fetch snow balls :)
Ah - I miss the snow! Snow in Texas just doesn't happen and when it does people freak! What was I thinking?! haha
ReplyDeleteAw Sherm! Hawkeye would rather die. I've taken her out in the show twice and she thought I was trying to kill her both times. She basically tried climbing up my leg to get out of it.
ReplyDeleteoh man i love how dogs love the snow,it is so funny and cute to watch them run around in it :)
ReplyDeleteglad you guys stayed safe and warm inside!!
hahaha you seriously are the best. so funny.
ReplyDeleteand snow, seriously just is it spring yet?
K
Great photos! My hounds exhibit the same snow behavior. You should see them attempting to navigate deep snow on those stubby legs - it's pretty funny!
ReplyDeleteyea we got lots of crazy ice/snow here in STL, too! I didn't make Walter go play in it though. As a matter of face...I let him do his "business" on the back patio...because let's face it...he would have disappeared in the snow...he's too tiny. :)
ReplyDeleteSammy is such a pansy. He did not want to go out at all yesterday when the snow was blowing. Ryan had to actually follow him with an umbrella so he would go to the bathroom. lol But once it stopped snowing, he was fine. He is weird.
ReplyDeleteaw poor Sherman. I would have done the same thing though haha Gah these pictures look so cozy! I am OK with snow for about six days, then it's back to 70 degree Austin temps.
ReplyDeleteThis melts my heart! I want to play in the snow with Sherm so bad! You know, it snows A LOT here in the frozen tundra... maybe you guys need to live here.
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww sherm =)
ReplyDeletehahah. Laughing so hard at that pic of Sherm! And you saying that we would turn you in to PETA. So great. :)
ReplyDeleteWhy are you such a bad dog owner? Seriously.
ReplyDeletehaha. Love it! I would never turn you in to PETA. You are the best dog mom I know!
ReplyDeletePoor Sherm! Hahaha! But seriously, I can't believe that snow!! I've never seen snow like that in my life!!
ReplyDeleteaww i bet Sherman has a ton of fun out there. It would be horrible of you to not let him out..and I would be taking pics from the comfort of a warm rom too hahaha hope he doesn't get sick thou!!
ReplyDeleteAwww, he is adorable!! Can imagine he wants to go out all the time! My pup, Josie cannot resist that white stuff either, and even prefers snow to her water I prepared for her here ;-)
ReplyDeleteThose mugs are fantastic!! Need to get my hands on one of those as well!
Your blog is wonderful! I just flew in via Vanisha and will have a look around now :)
Have a wonderful weekend!
Love,
Svenja

I saw you on my Max's blog so HAD to check you out!! I totally LOVE your blog!!! Get stuff! Yes, don't call PETA on you!!! Ha! You need a LOVE IT button!!!!
ReplyDeleteHoly moly, that's a lot of snow!
ReplyDeleteProps to you for letting Sherm go out and romp in it multiple times. Max would be insanely jealous. If there's that much snow, his lazy momma only lets him out when he has to pee. Haha.
Also, I'm pretty sure I need that mug!
