Anyone missing a car mat?
I am well aware of the fact that we are long overdue for a
Sherman the Scavenger update. But this was just too good to wait to include in our typical monthly photo collage of water bottles and mittens and beer cans. This deserves a post all to itself. Sherm found this lovely car mat on our walk this morning and carried it for about 45 minutes. We got some of our best stares yet. I am honestly surprised we didn't cause a multiple car pile up. Jaws were dropped. Mouths were wide open. Noses were scrunched up. Heads were cocked to one side.
ALL eyes were on us.
I feel our calling to start up a reality tv show is growing stronger by the day. A good wholesome family show. Trash vs. Treasure. A healthy mix between
Gold Rush ... and
Hoarders.
Happy
hump trash day friends!
{It really is our neighborhood trash day today, btw.}
Luckily it is only a back seat one and not a huge front seat one. Just sayin.
ReplyDeletebahahaha. I LOVE THAT DOG!!!
ReplyDeleteOh and we watch both of those shows. :) I say he's finding gold, not hoarding trash. :)
Yay! I was hoping for an afternoon post today ... after I checked your blog yesterday and last night and this morning. No, I do not have a problem. :) So funny Sherm!
ReplyDeleteLOL! I need to get a dog. Not just a dog. A Sherman.
ReplyDeleteSeriously Sherm. You kill me. I'm showing my coworkers this now and we are cracking up!
ReplyDeleteoh and they want to know where they can get a dog like Sherm!
Deletei LOVE LOVE LOVE these posts!! I swear, you could make millions off of this crazy dog of yours! And truthfully, I don't know which is more impressive, that you walked the dog for 45 minutes or that he carried it that long :)
ReplyDeleteLove this!! And I'm so glad you captured this on camera...I'm excited to see what other treasures Sherman brings your way. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. He is priceless. So funny.
ReplyDeleteI agree... He needs his own show! Such a cute pup :)
ReplyDeleteSo that photo is adorable :) Our "little" guy doesn't bring much home, his attention span isn't long enough for that... but he did spend a block or two walking around with around with an empty doritos bag over his nose.
ReplyDeletehahaha that is awesome!! and he carried it for 45 min? i wonder if it got heavy? so cute..my cats does the same with paper in our house...finds random reciepts and carries them around the house
ReplyDeleteIf I'd have seen that it would have put such a smile on my face. i can't wait to see what he finds next
ReplyDeleteOh Sherman.... ;)
ReplyDeleteohh sherm! so proud :) i love it!
ReplyDeleteI have a yellow lab who is always sooooooo proud of what she finds. She prances with them.
ReplyDeletehaha. You and Sherm are both so so funny!! I would totally watch a tv show about you guys!
ReplyDeleteI'd watch your show!
ReplyDeleteOh that dog cracks me up! Can't wait to see all the other items. Keep it up Sherm, you are hilarious!
ReplyDeleteEvery time Sloan and I pass a piece of trash on our walks I remind her that Sherman is a MUCH better world-citizen than her. Love Sherm the Scavenger!
ReplyDeleteHa!! So funny! I'm sure he had a lot of fun though. I had a basset hound growing up, and one time he found a package of steaks and dropped it on our back steps and just looked at us like...look what I brought you. The package was still sealed and everthing. We found out our neighbors had cleaned out their broken deep freezer, and our pup must have though he scored gold. At least he was thinking of us :)
ReplyDeleteah ha! he absolutely kills me. what a dog!
ReplyDeleteOmg I LOVE this, hahaha can't stop laughing!
ReplyDeleteXX, Adropofbliss.com
HAHA!! Too cute!
ReplyDeleteSherman really is the best dog in the whole world. I wish everyone could read your posts about him, and marvel in his greatness. I would watch that tv show, and that's saying a lot, because we don't really watch tv.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA amazzzzzing!!
ReplyDeleteI love it!! Dogs are so gross...Max always picks things up too, but not fun things like this. He's more into people's used kleenexes, empty plastic baggies, and discarded flyers.
ReplyDeleteAnd for the record, I would totally watch your reality show! Ha.
Sherman is a hero! Haha
ReplyDeleteI would totally watch that!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Kara
haha. Just found your blog through a friend of mine ... she said you're hilarious. Ummm, YES! So funny! I've enjoyed reading through some of your posts. Sherman is the best!
ReplyDeleteHILARIOUS. I was having the worst day until I read this, HA, it has just cheered me right up! I wish our dog did things like this, instead he wakes me up at 5.30am because he wants to go walkies.
ReplyDeleteWalter doesn't pick trash up when I take him for walks...but he does all of a sudden have to poop A LOT...like in every other yard!!! It's crazy.
ReplyDeleteI think Sherman should be one of those dogs who finds criminals that have escaped or missing persons. But then he might get mad if he can't carry them around in his mouth. I heart you n Sherm!
ReplyDeleteOMG I am dying!!! Sherman with the car mat for 45 minutes!!! I'm trying not to make a scene at my desk but this is hilarious!
ReplyDelete45 minutes? Aaaw.
ReplyDeletehahaha this is just too good... You've got my vote for the reality TV show. I want to see Sherman in action.
ReplyDeleteIt just keeps getting better and better! Sherm is such a master! You probably should start your own show! Plus with Dan and all of his hobbies, you would always have new material!
ReplyDeleteAHHAHA Shermannnn.. I love seeing dogs caring something so proudly in their mouths walking down the road with their owners.. but a car floor mat is something new altogether. Way to go Sherman! LOL
ReplyDeleteWhere on earth do you walk Sherman that he finds all this!?
ReplyDeleteseriously the funniest thing ever!!! Love that dog!
ReplyDeleteOh Sher-dog! What a cutie. I can't believe the things he comes up with, and then carries them around with him like a prize!
