TGIF people.
T.G.I.F.
So if anyone decides that today is the day to tell me that a dog mom is not a real mom ... after I've cleaned up about 14 (which in my language means 7) piles of dog puke and gotten about 4 (which in my language means 8) hours of sleep in the past two nights ... if anyone decides to share that with me today ... well, I just wouldn't do that if I were you. I'm just warning ya. Oh but back to TGIF. Yay! I really am excited about the weekend and about life in general. I promise. I'm just a little tired is all. And very very thankful for hardwood floors.

Did you know dogs can get prescriptions from the pharmacy?
I had no clue.
So yes, it's true. The eight dollar dog is sick again. Our little lemon spent Wednesday night and Thursday morning puking his little heart out (bless his heart). And I spent this same amount of time running around cleaning up after him, making sure that he was still breathing, and worrying myself sick about him. And after that much sickness and worry ... off to the vet he went. And back home he came ... armed with some antibiotics which were preceded by some fluid therapy (IV) and a couple of shots. We'll have to see how the next couple of days go before we'll know if x-rays are needed to check for blockage.
I promise ... I did not let him eat that car mat.
Who knows what he ate.

But whatever it was, it literally knocked him off his feet.
Sherman would love it if you could keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Heck, throw my name in there a couple of times too if you wouldn't mind. ;)
Hope you all have an awesome weekend!
I'm off to go hide under my desk. And sleep.
Walty and I are praying for Sherm!!! I hope he recovers quickly!! :(
ReplyDeleteOnly you can pull off 4 hours of sleep in two days, still looking cute!! Feel better Sherm! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWhenever possible I get my dogs perscription filled at the Target Pharmacy... it is so much cheaper! Thank the lord for hard wood floors.
ReplyDeleteFeel better Sherms!
Oh you are sooooo darn cute! No sleep or not. :) Praying for Sherman!! Love that dog so much and hope he feels better!
ReplyDeleteawwww poor baby & poor mommy! Hope he's feeling better!
ReplyDeleteOh poor Sherm!! Thinking about him!
ReplyDeleteObsessed with your hardwood floors, btw. That's all I want in life!
Oh you are totally a mom! And a really really good one, obviously. Sherm is lucky to have you!
ReplyDeleteI'm off to get a pixie now. :) But really, you're so cute!
Oh my. That's alot of vom in a short amount of time. I too am grateful it's Friday, but for other reasons that don't involve puke. Hang in there girl!
ReplyDeleteOh I do that with my numbers too! I over exaggerate or under-exaggerate all the time. ;)
ReplyDeleteI hope Sherman feels better soon!
Hope Sherman feels better soon!
ReplyDeleteOh poor puppy!! Praying for him and you! And your hardwoods. :)
ReplyDeleteDog mom's are real moms! Poor Sherm! Sir Winston will be praying for him:)
ReplyDeletePoor little Sherman!! Bronx had some type of little bug once and I was so worried about him! I felt so helpless!
ReplyDeleteYikes, poor Sherman! Dog moms are no joke! Maggie had the "puppy flu" awhile back and I did the same thing - run around after her cleaning up puke, and worrying sick! Hope he gets better fast, but by then he will probably be ready to play so you better get your sleep in now ;)
ReplyDeleteawwww so sad!
ReplyDeleteDang Sherm, you poor guy! I hope and pray you get better soon! For you and your Mom's sake!
ReplyDeletePawsitive thoughts coming your way!
ReplyDeleteBeing a dog mama can be rough sometimes. So sorry Sherman isn't feeling well! And thank goodness for wood floors (although I can still vividly remember the day we bought a new area rug and our dog Dudley decided to vomit directly onto it within minutes of us bringing it home. Perhaps he didn't like it? Anyways...sending healthy thoughts to Sherman and good weekend vibes to you!
ReplyDeleteFeel better Sherman!!!
ReplyDeleteOoooh Sherm! I'm so sorry he is sick. But you are a good mom & he is lucky to have you! Hope you can relax this weekend! Oh and I was laughing out loud at the number thing. I do the same thing! My mom is always saying "why don't you just tell the truth?" haha. Because it's not as fun!
ReplyDeletePraying for Sherman....Charis had me going last night when I woke up and could not hear her breathing....I have never gotten out of bed so fast or switched on a light so quickly in all my life. Then she did not open her eyes when I spoke to her and did not move when I touched her (read shook her brains out). Thankfully madam was just sleeping really deeply and woke up when my spoken words turned into hysterical shouting.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon Sherm..we love you!!
Awww... poor baby! Definitely keeping both you and Sherman in my thoughts today!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, what a nightmare! One of our dogs is on Xanax (for real. from the pharmacy.) and the other has to wear a plastic cone (his "helmet") 24/hours a day to stop him from licking obsessively and having explosive...well... you know, all over the house, which took us roughly 3 years to figure out. So girl, I feel your pain. Whenever my husband complains about us not having "normal" dogs, I remind him that every dog-baby has their little issues... but Lord, if only they could comment on all of ours lol (P.S. Thank you for being my 20th follower, whoop whoop!!) xo Hailey
ReplyDeleteAw man Sherman! What did you do? =( Hope he gets better soon.
ReplyDeletePraying for you and Sherman!!
ReplyDeleteAll my love!
xoxo
Oh my!! Poor Sherman :( Sending you guys lots of love, hugs, and prayers! I hope you get some much needed rest this weekend!
ReplyDeletexoxo
Feel better Sherman! I don't care what people say; it's scary and stressful when a pet is sick!
ReplyDeletePoor Sherman...I hope he recovers very soon!
ReplyDelete"So if anyone decides that today is the day to tell me that a dog mom is not a real mom" <-- Exactly! If anything, people who can't handle dogs shouldn't have kids.
Poor little guy. And poor Doggie Momma too! Hope he is feeling better and you get some sleep!
ReplyDeleteDog moms are totally legit. I actually think we're better moms than a whole lot of baby moms out there. :) Thinking about Sherm and hoping you guys have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh, poor Sherman! Somehow Sloan's taught herself to ask to go out when she needs to puke, which is so wonderful... assuming (if it's middle of the night) one of us wakes up enough to let her out. Max prefers to go puke on a dog bed in another room, then come back to bed, so I don't find it until morning.
ReplyDeleteI hope Sherman is okay, and that it's not a blockage :/ Poor dude!
And have you not discovered the wonder clean-all that is Nature's Miracle, or did you just buy the concentrate and put it in a plain bottle? Please tell me you use it- it's the only way our house has maintained relative sanity!
I'm seeing this after the email I sent you. Oh, Tiff. I hope you can hide under your desk and take a nap today. Or put Dan on puke duty. Poor you, and poor Sherman. I hope you both get some good rest and relaxation this weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh Sherm! I hate this!! Sending your prayers and thoughts of bland chicken and rice for dinner! Feel better buddy!
ReplyDeleteOh Sherman!!!!! Feel better soon!! And get some rest, Momma!!
ReplyDeleteAh, bummer dude! Poor Sherman - why do they do this to themselves? I remember being up all night with my Samwise who had parvo years ago, and my thoughts and prayers DO go out to you guys...
ReplyDeleteLily and I will keep you and Sherm in our thoughts and prayers. It is my fear that she'll eat something one day (or has already done damage). :( I definitely think that being a fur baby mom (to a lab especially) is like having a human baby sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI hope that the antibiotics kick in quickly and that Sherman feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteIt must be the week for ill pets, I woke to cat vomit this morning, we have a hard floor and a rug, guess where he'd decided to throw up?!?
Hope you have a better nights sleep.
Oh no, a sick puppy is awful! Poor Sherman, I hope he feels better soon. I always feel so bad when you know an otherwise happy dog just isn't himself :(
ReplyDeleteoh no, poor sherman! and poor you! i hope he's back to normal soon! thinking about you guys!
ReplyDeleteOh no!! I hate it when thy get sick!!! Soo sad!! Hoping he is feeling better soon so you can relax as well!!! Hang in there!!
ReplyDeleteSo very glad he's feeling better!! (just saw your IG picture). That is always so scary. Dog or kid or husband or sister or ... anyone. It's always scary when they're sick. So glad he's better!!
ReplyDeleteOh, no!! I hope both Sherm and you are feeling better soon. Hang in there Mama!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kara

ReplyDeleteOooh noooo! :( I always get so upset and worry my heart out when my boys are under the weather.
ReplyDelete<3
ok, i'm late to see this, but I hope Sherm is ok!
ReplyDeleteAnd look at it this way - if you and Dan ever decide to have a baby, this is a lot like parenthood in the early days- (being kept up half the night!)
